Cobbs Creek participates in CHOP’s Community Health Initiative

The Community Health Partnership Clinic, held on August 6th, was a remarkable endeavor, aimed at gearing up students and their families for the academic year. The response from the community was nothing short of heartwarming. With a turnout of over 650 enthusiastic attendees, the event was a testament to the city’s collective spirit and its commitment to a brighter future.

With over 30 dedicated community partners, the day was full of health screenings for school, sports physicals, CPR training sessions, nutrition planning workshops, and much more. This comprehensive approach ensured that every aspect of a student’s well-being was addressed, paving the way for their success this school year.

Cobbs Creek Foundation brought to the table some fun and learning. From golf putting games to the innovative marshmallow tower-building STEM project, there was something for everyone. Using just marshmallows and toothpicks, participants showcased their creativity, patience, and collaborative spirit. It was not just a game, but a reflection of the challenges and triumphs that lie ahead in the academic year.

We look forward to the upcoming school year; let it be one of discovery and growth.
