In celebration of Earth Month, CEO of Essential Utilities and Cobbs Creek Foundation Board Member, Chris Franklin, highlights the partnership between Cobbs Creek Foundation and Essential Foundation. Essential Utilities focuses on delivering safe, clean, reliable services that improve the quality of life for individuals, families, and entire communities. In 2023, CCF received a generous $1 million donation from the Essential Foundation. The funding and partnership will support CCF’s plans to restore three miles of impaired waterways that regularly flood the surrounding neighborhood. Together, they will create 25+ acres of wetlands – comprising one of the largest urban creek restoration projects in the country to date, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. The effort will improve water quality, minimize sewer overflows, reduce flooding, and enhance habitat at the site. Check out the video here
