Welcome to New Cobbs Creek Foundation Team Members Joining Our Mission

We are excited to introduce our three newest team members. They will be the guiding light for The Cobbs Creek Education Center and help us to uphold our commitment to the youth.

Maria Stroup – SVP, Education, Social Responsibility, and Community Engagement

With her extensive experience as a fierce advocate for young people and their families, Maria has devoted her personal and professional life to empowering and inspiring students. In both educational and faith-based settings for over 35 years, Maria has exemplified a commitment to igniting in others an ethical engagement for the common good. As a seasoned program director, teacher, and pastor, Maria has thoughtfully integrated robust educational initiatives into diverse settings; cultivating extensive experience through the creation of grass-roots opportunities for authentic dialogue and community building, resulting in sustainable Urban-Suburban partnerships. Maria’s career highlights have included serving as Bryn Mawr Presbyterian’s Youth Pastor, The Shipley School’s Director of Community Life and Service Learning, and most recently, the Director of Mission and Engagement for The Impact Center, a nonprofit she co-founded in 2016.

 

Lauren Kline – SVP, HR, Marketing, and Events

Lauren is a collaborative leader, strategic thinker, and trusted advisor with over 30 years of professional experience in nonprofit administration, fundraising, and human resources. Lauren possesses a proven record of success as a detail-oriented administrator and is adept at establishing and cultivating meaningful relationships while serving as an enthusiastic mission-driven fundraiser. Her commitment to inspiring youth has been a guiding principle throughout the latter part of her career. Lauren’s career highlights have included serving as a Director of Human Resources for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, the Director of Advancement and member of the senior leadership team for an educationally-based nonprofit, and Executive Director for The Impact Center, a nonprofit she co-founded in 2016.

 

Morgan Moore – Director of Education and Community Engagement

A rising star, Philadelphia native, and former third grade teacher, Morgan has spent her professional career serving the youth of numerous communities. Morgan’s love of education and community involvement is demonstrated through her various positions in working with and teaching children. She will be graduating from Saint Joseph’s University with a Master’s in Teaching and Curriculum in Fall 2023. Morgan’s career highlights include serving as a teacher’s assistant with youth who were navigating housing insecurity; a reading tutor for low income students; a middle school Debate Instructor; a GED Tutor to incarcerated individuals; a 3rd grade teacher in West Philadelphia; and as an Impact Educator for the past three years. Accordingly, Morgan has a strong skill set and passionate commitment to working with children of all ages and backgrounds.
